    Myra C. Selby

    Myra Selby, a nationally acclaimed speaker and trainer and partner at the Indianapolis office of Ice Miller, is an experienced commercial mediator and arbitrator. She also has a broad-based law practice with a focus in corporate internal investigations, appellate practice, compliance counseling, complex litigation, risk management, and strategic and other legal advice, across various industry sectors.

    Luncheon:  TAPM Annual Business Meeting and Presentation of Grayfred Gray Public Service in Mediation Award to Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Cornelia A. (ConnieClark.  Justice Clark, who has served on the Tennessee Supreme Court since 2005, is a strong supporter of access to justice for all Tennesseans. As the Supreme Court Liaison to the Access to Justice Commission, she promotes its mission to provide collaborative leadership to create solutions and resources that address and eliminate barriers to access to justice for all.  She recognizes and supports the key role of mediation as an access to justice solution.


    Afternoon Sessions:

    • (1 hour) Howard University Law Prof. Homer La Rue | interactive discussion on The 2005 Model Standards: More than a Decade Old, Are They Obsolete?
    • (2 hours) Ms. Selbylead panel discussion on Race and Gender Fairness in ADR with:

    o Prof. La Rue | research on diversity issues in the selection of ADR professionals

    o Linda Seely | insights as a mediator and Executive Director of the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution

    o Neal & Harwell Associate Arrin Richards | report on the Nashville Bar Association’s March 2020 Diversity Summit Action Plan; insights as a young attorney and immediate Past President of the Napier-Looby Bar Association

    o Leon Berrios | insights as a bi-lingual mediator and translator
